After the independence of Bangladesh, Globe Securities Ltd , a Corporate Member of Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd. (the prime bourse of Bangladesh) under Membership no.189, has started its journey in December26 of 1980 as Azizur Rahman , later on March 11, 1995 the name was revised to M/S Azizur Rahman & Co as it was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1994. Again on August 30, 1998 M/S Azizur Rahman & Co under special resolution changed to Globe Securities Ltd and was certified by the Registrar of the Joint Stock Companies of Bangladesh. Mr. Azizur Rahman has been appointed the Managing Director / CEO of the company till date.
In relation with the business, Globe Securities Ltd. obtained the Stock Dealer registration certificate bearing no. Reg. 3.1/ DSE-189/ 2000/ 059, issued on 25-04-2000 to deal in shares and securities business of its own and Stock Broker (as the SEC amended the regulation) registration certificate bearing no. Reg. 3.1/ DSE-189/ 2008/ 241, issued on 09-06-2008 by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Bangladesh (SEC) to deal in shares and securities business on behalf of its customers.
Globe Securities Ltd. obtained the full Depository Participant (DP) registration bearing no. SEC/Reg./CDBL/DP-18 issued on 04-12-2003 with Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd. (CDBL), who registered as a depository by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
