About GLOMO - Global Mobility of Employees

GLOMO is an international research project that has received an Innovative Training Network grant of almost €4million as part of the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Eight partners from across Europe are building an ambitious and unique network of experts in the field of global labour mobility in a longer-term bid. The participating partners are: · University of Bamberg (Germany) · Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) · Cranfield University (United Kingdom) · Institute for Employment Research (Germany) · Toulouse Business School (France) · Universität Vaasa (Finland) · Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands) · Airbus SAS (France). The GLOMO research project aims at generating knowledge on global mobility of employees and provides training on the phenomenon of global labour mobility. Research is conducted on interconnected topics, exploring the implications of labour mobility for individuals, organisations and European societies and economies. The project started on the 1st of January 2018 and will run for 48 months, with the objective to address increasing labour and skills shortages in the EU. Fifteen Early Stage Researcher and their supervisors are conducting interdisciplinary research on migration and expatriation across three levels: • Creating international employees’ individual resources and capacities • Managing organizational structures that are influencing international careers and mobility • Implications of societal factors and systems that are affecting international careers and mobility. This project has received funding from the European Union's H2020-EU.1.3.1. - Fostering new skills by means of excellent initial training of researchers under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 765355.
