One of the major challenges in the fight against cancer is to find and identify the cancer cells. In this disease, it is our own cells that lose control, so cancer cells look like every other cell in our body and it is challenging to differentiate healthy cells from the diseased cancer cells. All cells are covered with a dense protective sugar-coating. Cancer cells shield themselves with sugar-coat masks to look just like healthy cells, but their sugar-coating is actually slightly different. Glyconia unlocked the code for identifying cancer cells and killing them specifically, based on their unique sugar-coating, that is different from healthy cells.
