GLYCOON implements a patented technology for chemical depolymerization of waste-PET for the benefit of the global economy and the natural environment that is over-exploited by industry. Thanks to our solutions, it will be possible to solve the problem of the ever-growing number of PET waste that is covered landfills, seas, every part of the planet and let reuse them in the economy. Our patented depolymerization technology produces Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Ethylene Glycol from waste PET plastic and polyester fiber feedstocks. This includes all types of low value waste PET plastic and polyester fiber, including plastic bottles and packaging, carpets and polyester textiles of any colour, transparency or condition and even ocean plastics that have been degraded by the sun and salt. PTA and Glycol are monomers that will be polymerized into eco-PET made from 100% recycled content. Eco-PET is of the highest purity: virgin-quality plastic which is suitable for use in food-grade packaging - like the kind used to make water bottles.
