The Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao (GMTCM Park) is located in a hi-tech zone of Hengqin New Area, covering an area of 500,000 square meters.
The GMTCM Park will give full play to its role of an international window, through construction of a functional platform to foster industrialization, inheritance and promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture to advance the Health industry development. The GMTCM Park will combine its advantages of geographic location, favorable policies, international window and technical services, among others, to develop a platform for quality control, provide technical support for product incubation for product research and development, testing services and pilot test production, and so forth, so as to form the “group of R&D and promotion of innovative medicine and healthcare products”. Morever, it serves as a base for healthcare and wellness and Traditional Chinese Medicine culture, to explore more development space, in terms of preventive treatment of diseases and health treatment, and so forth, and step towards becoming a cluster in health industry and culture promotion. Furthermore, it aims to foster exchanges and trade health related techniques of TCM products , including results transfer, technology and techniques exchange and display, trade import and export, and so forth.
GMTCM Park has been driven by two core targets, consisting of “the development of an international-level quality control base for the Traditional Chinese Medicine（TCM）” and “the development of an exchange platform for the Healthcare industry”.
