GMX is an agricuture technology and engineering firm that transcends geographical and technological boundaries. The firm brings practical rice know-hows from Vietnam to Africa whilst applying relevant cutting-edge ag tech in both. Why the 'curious' geographical focus? Vietnam and Africa share similar agro-ecologies and yet Vietnam is a top rice exporter and Africa a major rice importer. We have been able to successfully adapt relevant technologies and know-how's from Vietnam to the African context. On the other hand, both regions farm tropical crops so both can benefit from burgeoning ag tech to improve yield and quality. GMX operates along the following business lines: 1- Advise on feasibility, design and develop large-scale greenfield commercial farming projects in Africa. 2- Design and develop irrigation as part of an integrated project or independently 3- Commercial due diligence of agribusiness investments by PE and corporate buyers focusing on the agro inputs sector such as seed, nutrient and crop protection. GMX believes in an holistic approach that integrates multiple disciplines: agronomy, water engineering, robotics (drones), IT and Internet of Things and finance, whether they are 'intermediate' or advanced technologies. We worked with Unilever, Diageo, Olam, Leventis, IFAD, AfDB, national and regional groups and large private equity firms on over 100,000 ha of land in Africa.
