A new startup company providing IT solutions and management consulting services for automotive suppliers in areas of product development and quality management; Gnomon Tech is originally funded by the startup founders then later attracted VCs. In a period of 2 years time, Gnomon Tech has successfully developed a full featured vehicle/product development program management system called PDMS, complying VDA 6.3 and TS16949(APQP) project management specifications. Not only is PDMS compatible with VDP systems that major automotive firms use including Ford, GM, and Chrysler, and major suppliers such as Bosch, Visteon, and Delphi, but also, PDMS is much more flexible and cohesive then systems such as BEN (Delphi). Thanks to modern technology such as Web2.0 and social networking systems like Wiki and Linked-In. The technology revolution and networking behavior behind these systems have much influenced design idea of PDMS. PDMS is an online project schedule system (task scheduling), project execution system (task reporting and execution), online collaboration system (change management, issue resolution) and most importantly, online knowledge sharing and ongoing-perfecting system
