Ken Godat received his BFA in Graphic Design from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1975. He moved to New York and worked in corporate communications for eight years with significant responsibilities for clients in international finance, consumer goods, and the arts. Expanding his design experience, he started his first business in 1983, serving as a consultant to clients in publishing, retail, and education. In 1989, he and Jeff Jonczyk established Godat/Jonczyk Design in Tucson and the firm became Godat Design in 2001.
