GoDrink

GoDrink is a first-of-its-kind platform in the food and wine industry that gives producers and consumers in Italy and abroad, a new and innovative way to connect. GoDrink boasts a unique dual business model, both C2C (amongst individuals) and B2C (between companies and consumers). In the first case, the platform facilitates social tasting events amongst individuals, and in the second case GoDrink events act as a new channel for producers to present and sell their products. Using the GoDrink Platform, anyone can organize an event--at home or in a setting of his/her choosing--where other users can pay a fee to attend. The organizer of the event (the “Host”) selects the food, drinks, and maximum number of guests that can be accommodated. The Host then fixes a per-guest participation fee to cover the cost of hosting. Anyone can browse--via the GoDrink platform or social media sites (Facebook, Meetup, etc.)--the list of events being organized at any time. In order to reserve a place at an event, guests pay in advance via the GoDrink platform. GoDrink will handle any cancellations and refund the organizer at the end of the event. The actual events are an opportunity for strangers to gather over food and drinks in an intimate and welcoming environment, while removing the stress of what to order and how to handle the bill. In this way, GoDrink provides an alternative to other social-meetup/dating platforms (Tinder, Happn, Once). With GoDrink, participants can avoid the awkwardness of typical one-on-one first dates, opting instead for pre-organized events with a relaxed atmosphere, therefore increasing the quality and quantity of interactions.
