GoGoVerde

GoGoVerde is a social networking site that connects neighbors to their neighborhood, neighbors to their local government, and neighbors to their local businesses. Neighbors join their neighborhood to talk, offer stuff, request help, announce events, and get recommendations from each other. Local businesses sponsor a neighborhood and advertise in the directory and daily email digest. City staff posts information on city services relevant to specific neighborhoods or to the city at large. The Cleantech Open is the world's largest cleantech accelerator and business plan competition. Each year the Cleantech Open selects a limited number of promising cleantech businesses to mentor. On the basis of the company's business plan, GoGoVerde was selected as one of the semifinalists in the 2009 Cleantech Open Competition. The GoGoVerde Team has joined forces with Nextdoor.
