Gold Geese is a small, local charity providing tailored practical and emotional support to families of children and young people fighting cancer in the Southend and Basildon areas (South East Essex, UK).
Everybody’s experience of cancer is different, so our care and support are tailored to each family, and includes help for siblings and parents.
Gold Geese support ranges from funding for mental health therapy, food shop vouchers, toys and gifts, weekend trips away and practical help with travel to and from hospitals.
We also raise awareness of childhood cancer signs and symptoms, including delivering training workshops to childcare practitioners and parents.
We encourage people who can, to donate blood and register as potential bone marrow donors.
Gold Geese receives no Government funding and relies on community donations for its work.
