Golden Saint Resources Ltd was established for the purposes of seeking Admission following its acquisition of 75 per cent of the issued share capital of Golden Saint Resources (Africa) Limited, (“GSR Africa”), (which was incorporated in Sierra Leone, on 30 September 2010) from Golden Saint Australia Limited. At a time when the resources sector is struggling to raise capital, Golden Saint Resources Ltd (GSR) listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market on 19 July 2013 at a 20% premium after raising about GBP 4 million at IPO. Nestled in an area renowned for its large diamond deposits in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Golden Saint Resources has highly prospective diamond and gold projects covering 340 sq km; one neighbours the site of the largest diamond discovery in the country. The three Exploration Licences are in Sierra Leone: Tongo which is prospective for diamonds; Baja which is prospective for gold and diamonds; and Moa which also is prospective for gold and diamonds. Led by Executive Chairman & Singaporean entrepreneur Cyril D’Silva and backed by a Board of highly experienced professionals in their field, GSR attracted investor interest with its unique approach to the IPO. GSR has more than 150 shareholders. Gabriel Yap who is an equities and stocks investment guru is now also Special Advisor to GSR. A substantial shareholder of GSR includes entrepreneur Bill Ng of Financial Frontiers Pte Ltd.
