Golden Threads

Guided by the belief that every one can make a difference, Golden Threads partners with others worldwide to improve the lives of the impoverished, disadvantaged and marginalized. Our projects encompass activities to bring dignity, restore hope and offer a hand-up rather than a hand-out. Based in Calgary, Golden Threads is dream of founder and entrepreneur Rachel Starkey who, along with her husband Jeff Starkey, provide direction to the team. The Managing Director is Susan Tam who brings a strong background in policy and research.
