The elephant in the room is holistic worker wellbeing. To understand systems, we must see the whole elephant and how the parts work together in context. While deep study of individual parts of a system might be essential for specialized purposes, rarely does action informed by this partial evidence result in the sustainable change we are looking for. We live within whole systems and increasingly have the research and analytic tools to generate insights from rich sets of qualitative and quantitative data.
