72% of managers suffer from this condition and majority don't realize it. 
 Victims of their own success. 
 I call it "figure it out" itis. 
 I don’t know where/when the break down happened. 
 At what point did we stop caring to help our new leaders be successful IN the role and not just WITH the role? 
 Not just caring about the metrics, revenue, and what they can do for us as a company. 
 But developing the person to understand what it takes to lead effectively and develop the next generation of leaders on our teams.  
 Now, knowing that most never received training or coaching themselves, I don’t necessarily blame the company. I don’t blame the HR departments. I don’t blame the bosses.  
 I think most people have ended up training the same way they were. “They will figure it out. That’s what I had to do.” 
 Companies and founders are busy. Everyone is wearing multiple hats. Time is limited. I get it. I’v been there too.  
 But at some point the cycle has to stop. At some point, the gap needs to be filled. At some point, the transition can’t be left to “figure it out.”  
 Selfishly, I hope that companies don’t figure it out. 
 Because I believe that companies that make this investment in their people will: 
 - Have the competitive advantage - Employee retention will increase - They will have less growing pains as they scale - Their benches will be deeper.  - They will waste less money on their most expensive asset Join the 100's of other leaders who have made the jump and get the confidence you need to thrive as a leader.
