Go the Extra Mile Today is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that empowers youth by breaking down barriers to essential resources and opportunities. Through our innovative programs, we inspire action, create pathways for success, and foster community collaboration to build brighter futures. Our two signature initiatives are the Extra Mile Scholarship and the Extra Mile Shoe Fund. Since 2013, the Extra Mile Scholarship has recognized students who have faced significant adversity while excelling in academics and community service. The Extra Mile Shoe Fund, established in 1995, provides footwear to underserved youth, ensuring they have the confidence and resources to take steps toward success. At Go the Extra Mile Today, our mission is to create a ripple effect of empowerment and opportunity, starting with the youth in our community.
