Government Polytechnic, Solapur

The Government Polytechnic, Solapur was Established in the year 1956. Today it houses in its 33 acre campus, a main building, student Hostels, Classrooms for various faculties, Library, Canteen and other facilities. GP Solapur is the Maharashtra state-run college situated in Solapur, Maharashtra, India. The college offers Diplomas in different Engineering and Technology branches and these courses are affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai(Pune Region). GP Solapur aim to prepare technically qualified and competent professionals able to face the challenges of competitive world and commited towards development of our Nation. In recognition of various activities , this institute was honoured with prestigious ISTE Narsee Monjee Award for Best Overall Performance during the year 2001. The institute added another feather to its cap when it was adjudged Best Polytechnic in the State of Maharashtra by the Government of Maharashtra for the year 2001-2002.
