Government Polytechnic College, Shahdol (M.P.) is one of the leading polytechnics in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Government Polytechnic College, Shahdol was established in 1960 and began offering diploma courses. The Starting name of this Polytechnic was 'Government Mining Polytechnic, Shahdol'. In the starting, only Mining & Mine Surveying Branch started. First Batch started in 1960 and was Approved as a Course by AICTE in July 1992. The area of this polytechnic is about 40 Acres in the District area. A brief report about the Innovation and Technical changes introduced in the Institution in last 3 years: In last three years the physical infrastructure has been changed to great extent to meet the increased capacity of students. The laboratories of the institute have been modernized with the latest types of equipment based on Engineering Technology. Qualified and experienced faculty have joined this institute to import quality education.
