Schoolie is a transformative brand, utilizing the cloud, big data and proprietary algorithms to redefine how our nation’s public schools are analyzed. We are passionate supporters of transparency, seeking to build meaningful relationships with all vested stakeholders, parents and the broad educational community. Our business model is open ended. Any parent or educator can log in to our no registration or payments required web portal, access information about an individual public high school and compare it with other schools in a local district. We are Pattern Seekers We believe in the power of empirical big data and its innate ability to trump intuition. Our scientific approach is grounded in humility, we are looking for patterns and correlations that merit further exploration, or that enable us to help all stakeholders make smarter decisions. We do two things extraordinarily well. First, we aggregate large amounts of data from public sources including local school districts, State Dept. of Education, CollegeBoard and the National Center for Education Statistics. Then, our data scientists analyze the information and produce a school rating based on nineteen separate performance indicators grouped into three categories: Academic Rigor, Course Variety and Student Support. These 19 indicators are fueled by our proprietary algorithm developed in partnership with PhD researchers from University of California, Berkeley.
