The Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance is dedicated to enabling women in all accounting and finance fields to achieve their full potential and to contribute to their profession. Founded in 1943, the Grand Rapids chapter promotes the professional growth of local women through networking, education, and leadership development.
Our chapter hosts both lunch hour and evening events centered around networking and personal and professional development, which are open to all women in the field.
The Grand Rapids chapter of the AFWA is committed to furthering the educational achievement of female students in the fields of accounting and finance. Each year, the chapter awards a scholarship to an outstanding undergraduate applicant in the Grand Rapids area.
