About Grainfields Ghana Limited
Grainfields Ghana is a Youth-led Ghanaian Agri-Food Startup aimed at facilitating the production, postharvest handling, distribution and marketing of grain commodities locally and internationally, using climate-smart production, and digital sourcing and marketing strategies. Our priority is to create distinct values for grain commodities by striving to become one of the global leaders in the production, purchasing, processing, transportation, warehousing and trading of grain commodities to all destinations around the world. Our vision is to be recognized among the leading grain commodity trading and marketing companies in Ghana and across Africa by: 1. Establishing and managing commercial grain farms integrated with state-of-the-art processing and warehousing facilities in the major grain-producing agroecological zones in Ghana, using climate-smart agricultural practices such as precision agriculture for crop monitoring and yield prediction. 2. Developing a “Grain hub” to facilitate the distribution and marketing of grain commodities in a progressive manner by: i. digitally sourcing highly demanded grain commodities from our operational farms and out-growers, further processing and storing them at our warehouses/ distribution points situated close to our operational farms. ii. packaging and transporting to stock our retail warehouses situated close to internal customers. Wholesale distribution (for bulk purchases) to local and foreign customers will be made directly from our distribution points. iii. providing free reliable, formal, and updated agronomic extension services to our out-growers (mostly smallholder farmers and new entrants) to improve the production and quality of highly demanded grains through cutting-edge agronomic research.
