The company Granolio d.d. was founded in December 1996 with headquarters in Zagreb. The main activities of the company are the production and trade of agricultural products and livestock. Granolio, plc is the market leader in the milling industry with more than 120,000 Mt of milled wheat per year, a market share of 48% and is a leader in contracting production (controls 50,000 ha of agricultural land) and cheese production. From inception to date, the company has grown exponentially at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23%, increased the number of employees from 3 to 500, and demonstrated the ability to restructure a growing company and grow through acquisitions.
The operations of the Granolio Group are based on milling and flour production, milk and cheese production, agriculture and cattle breeding, storage facilities, and trading, as well as agricultural and livestock contract farming. Milling and flour production takes place in two mills, Mlin Farina (Gornji Draganec) and Mlin Velika Kopanica (Velika Kopanica) with a total wheat milling capacity of 520 t/24h and an annual production of about 120,000 t of flour. Flour is packaged and sold in the form of 7 own and 17 private lables of flour.
Granolio, plc. is the market leader in the production of organic flour with the first conventional mill in the region with an ecological brand of flour (Ekoklas) and produces trade brands of flour for almost all food retail chains in the Republic of Croatia as well as wholesale to market leaders in the bakery industry (MLINAR pekarska industrija d.o.o. and PAN -PEK d.o.o.) and confectionery industry (KRAŠ d.d. and Koestlin d.d.). ISO, HACCP, IFS and Halal standards have been implemented within modernly equipped production facilities. The company exports its flour products to Slovenia, Hungary, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden.
