The Graphic Era Educational Society is a non-profit organization that mobilizes world class education and generates resources for providing and supporting quality education for all. Established in the year 1996, the society recognizes the right of every individual to lead a life of dignity and self respect in a just and equitable manner. The society, therefore, recognizes the need to build and encourage the unlimited potential of young minds to improve the quality of their lives; to empower the society and economy; and to negotiate in life form a position of strength that would come from being intelligently educated thereby having the capacity to engage themselves in wonderful soul satisfying productive work. Graphic Era Hill University was established on April 28, 20111 by an act of the Uttarakhand State under the aegis of Graphic Era Educational Society with the vision of making it an internationally recognized, inquiry –driven, ethically engaged destination university with a diverse community, whose members work collaboratively towards the positive transformation of the world by pioneering teaching, research and social awareness. The University offers knowledge and skills needed to succeed as professionals, and the values and sensitivity needed to become responsible citizens of the world. The degrees awarded by the University are recognized by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. Graphic Era Hill University has two campuses established in the pursuit of making quality education available to all– the Dehradun and Bhimtal Campus. In each of these campuses, GEHU offers stateof-the-art world class academic, administrative and support infrastructure, well stocked libraries with online international and national journals of repute, laboratories andworkshops aligned with the industry, and a perfect academic ambience with practical teaching and learning methodologies aided by seamless internet connectivity and the Learning Management System Moodle
