GraphQLGate is an open source rate-limiting package for Node.js with query complexity analysis that can optionally be interfaced with a web application to visualize query and rate limiting data, allowing the Engineering team to monitor their application.
The query cost analysis will estimate the upper bound of the response size to throttle queries by complexity, instead of the total number of requests. This analysis happens "statically", before any resolver functions are fired. The library is un-opinionated by default with a number of configuration options.
Our open source web application can interface with the rate limiting package to log query data to our database for visualization on your dashboard. This allows an Engineering team to launch the rate limiting functionality and monitor/tune the rate limiting algorithm settings of their application.
This open source product was developed under tech accelerator OS labs (opensourcelabs.io).
