Grasstrees Australia is renowned for successful grasstree rescue & stabilisation. Our Middle Swan nursery has the capacity to hold 7,000 grasstrees. Over the past 35 years we have worked closely with government, city councils, developers, and landscapers to rescue West Australian native Xanthorrhoea Preissii and return them to residence, public open spaces, and land developments. Under special Licence, Grasstrees Australia remove the endangered native flora before sites are cleared and return them to their nursery where they are stabilised and nurtured for a minimum of 12 months. This allows the grasstrees to recover from the stressful extraction and redevelop root mass. This stabilisation process is crucial to ensure that these endangered trees will survive once replanted. We believe our processes of rescuing, nursery stabilising and replanting these sustainable, waterwise natives achieves the ethos to create sustainable developments for the future.
