We created Great Cherry based on this set of beliefs. Great Cherry is a socially responsible coffee company and Australia's first champion of fine robusta beans.
Originally from Vietnam and living in Sydney, we noticed robusta beans have long been misrepresented and labelled inferior to the widely-accepted arabica beans. This not only hurts the people behind this bean around the world, especially in Vietnam, the largest robusta producer but also takes away a great alternative for coffee drinkers.
At Great Cherry, we believe in the power of alternatives and that no coffee is inherently inferior to others. It's a matter of growing and production practices and personal flavour preference. And we did just that to provide consumers with a coffee alternative that is exciting and full of potential.
