Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory

Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory provides a permanent marker in the New Haven community of the suffering and loss of so many Jews prior to and during World War II. Additionally, the program includes a traveling exhibit and documentary film profiling the stories of the survivors and their neighbors who joined together to create the first Holocaust memorial built in the United States on public land. Conceived in the mid 1970's by a coalition of concerned New Haveners wishing to tell the story in a public, prominent and memorable way, the Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory continues to maintain the public space and make available the exhibit and its 22-minute film, which has been broadcast through public television across the U.S. Visitors can view the memorial and the movie by visiting https://cptv.org/people-forget-new-haven-remembers/ The Greater New Haven Holocaust Memory is a 501(c)(3) organization and derives no public support. Since inception, the monument has been funded through the generosity of community residents and patrons. Contributions are appreciated and gratefully accepted.
