Greater Influence Inc. is proud to announce the launch of our nonprofit organization that will focus on increasing representation in healthcare by improving access to resources and increasing early interest in medicine and medical school. The official website will become available to the public on April 17, 2020 with new content and resources being added on a consistent basis.
This website will provide a blueprint for students from freshman year of high school until their final year of medical school. It will include resources that contain study resources, guidance for applications to undergraduate school, medical schools, and residencies, advice on seeking and providing mentorships, helpful tips on being a well-rounded applicant, sample study schedules, printable checklists and timelines, lists of internship and research opportunities, methods for maintaining proper health and wellness and motivational content amongst several other topics. It will also include comprehensive lists of existing resources such as personal statement editing services, overseas study opportunities and recommended SAT/ACT/MCAT prep materials.
Additionally, Greater Influence will be implementing fundraising campaigns, collaborations with community organizations and partnerships to raise funds to create scholarships. These scholarships will be dispersed to fund necessities such as SAT/ACT/MCAT/Board prep courses, medical school applications and travel funds for interviews and conferences.
In Louisville, KY, Greater Influence will develop partnerships with local organizations in order to facilitate local mentorship, improve students’ access to physicians for shadow and networking, and host professional development workshops for students.
