Green Apple Books is a trio of independent bookstores in San Francisco. The flagship store on Clement Street in the inner Richmond is a San Francisco Legacy Business, serving up books for all readers since 1967. It's a rambling browser's delight, with new and used books in all subject areas covering 8,000 square feet in several buildings, with nooks and crannies to get lost in. Green Apple Books on the Park (inner Sunset) opened in 2014. It's a fine neighborhood store with a lovingly chosen selection of mostly new books, plus a vibrant events series. Browser Books opened in 1976 and was acquired by Green Apple in 2019. Browser is a small, cozy neighborhood bookstore with a fine selection of new books.
