Green Build Systems Ltd (GBS) came to life in 2017 and has gone on to transition from its involvement in the manufacture of Structured Insulated Panels (SIPs) to the development of vertical farming solutions.
Over the years, our sustainability conscious CEO (Alexander Pearce) took it upon himself to explore the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) market, travelling the world examining multiple vertical farm systems, assessing buildings, looking at containers, evaluating real crop yields and of course, not forgetting obtaining an insight into equipment manufacturers and suppliers (whether this involve LED lights, racking, or air circulation-to-nutrient feed systems).
With our CEO's significant experience in building, eco-building, and his unequivocal interest in sustainability issues, this combination of skills and passion that has helped drive GBS towards the vertical farming market today!
Today, GBS offers a unique blending of R&D expertise for the creation of innovative and practical vertical farm solutions, our own GBS Modular Vertical Farms, Controlled Environment Agricultural (CEA) product solutions along with the development of innovative modular building eco panels.
With our partners and JV colleagues' support, we combine renewable energy and battery storage back-up systems with efficient vertical and urban farming methods to help develop off-grid solutions. We are able to assist our customers provide food, medicinal produce, specialist produce, along with electricity and thermal energy. Through the design and construction of our agritech systems, GBS in able to contribute to global food security, attend to food accessibility issues, as well as help promote plant-based health support initiatives.
