About Green Life Generation

Our journey began after the tragic 2017 Meethoramulla garbage dump landslide, which killed 32 people and displaced many more. Inspired to address the waste management issue in Sri Lanka, we began turning materials like cast-off wood and cement bags into zero-waste products. What started as a small business venture soon became a catalyst for positive change in our community. Now we employ a team of female artisans to upcycle products while providing them with education and childcare. Green Life Generation is more than a project— we are a movement to address the interconnected social problems of waste management, sustainable communities, and gender equality.
