Green Basil Thai Restaurant

Green Basil has been serving authentic Thai flavours for over 16 years. Established in 2006 by renowned Executive Chef Ming. Ming has been cooking Thai cuisine for over 30 years from the streets of Bangkok to Montreal to Vancouver. His legendary culinary portfolio includes Maison Kirin and Chao Phraya while in his early days in Montreal. Upon returning to Vancouver, Ming has worked in some of Vancouver’s top Thai dining establishments including Chili Club before finally becoming the Chef de Cuisine for all of Thai House establishments in the lower mainland. With a burning ambition, he opened his first restaurant, Chao Phraya by Granville Island, Lauded by diners and critics alike. Chao Phraya received numerous awards for cuisine and atmosphere. Fast forward a few years later, Green Basil was born and quickly caught fire amongst diners and critics including the perennial winner of Burnaby Now’s “Best Thai” award. Green Basil has also received rave reviews from The Province, The Vancouver Sun, and the Georgia Straight.
