The consortium harness the experience and insights of EWP and EarthTech in identifying and bringing to market large-scale stranded green energy projects predominantly from solar, wind and gas flaring, as well as scalable data-centers infrastructures, and combines this with the cloud services and operational experience of CloudSigma in over 25 countries globally, to roll out a new generation of green cloud computing offerings. Earthtech brings the capabilities to measure and monitor the carbon impact of our green-powered cloud computing as well as mobilizing de-risked infrastructures and equity climate finance.
This is a timely initiative at a point where the world faces geometric growth in demand from computing driven by an explosion of data, the resulting big data analysis, and an increasing number of sophisticated AI use cases, with the estimated impact of AI on the global economy in the period leading up to 2030 is projected to be around $15.7 trillion, according to PwC [𝟏].
CloudSigma will make computing power sited at green power generation locations into a consumable product to a global userbase and this, in turn, will be powered by the innovative scalable modular data center solutions of EWP achieving high energy efficiency whilst delivering the level of security, sovereignty, and reliability that end users have come to expect.
These innovative business models are enabled using green power generation from sources that traditionally would not be able to feed into mainstream electrical grids. This in turn opens the door to new business models.
