GreenSCIES is a groundbreaking project designing a sustainable, investable and community-based energy system in the heart of Islington that integrates low carbon technologies across heat, power and mobility.
Led by the London Borough of Islington and London South Bank University, our team is made up of 15 public, private, academic and community partners.
Our goal is to design a system which significantly reduces local carbon emissions, fuel poverty and air pollution, creating a clean, healthy and fair environment for Islington citizens, business and communities.
Our vision is to develop a unique, transformative and replicable model for future cities across the UK.
Our diverse team includes the London Borough of Islington, London South Bank University, Transport for London, E.ON, the West Midlands Combined Authority, Cullinan Studio, Carbon Descent, Building Low Carbon Solutions, Repowering, Grid Edge, Carbon Data Resources, Silver Energy Management Solutions, Consortio, Hangar 19 and Cenex.
