Greenways Social Cooperative Enterprise

Greenways SCE is a Social Cooperative Enterprise (SCE), a civil-law cooperative with a social purpose, registered to Social Economy General Register of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, with the aim to serve local and collective interests and to promote employment, social cohesion and local or regional development through: 1. Promoting and communicating sustainable mobility, physical activity and accessibility 2. Organizing events, campaigns, projects 3. Lifelong learning, youth training 4. Bike rental and repair services 5. Planning and certifying cycle routes 6. Auditing cycling and SUMP policies. Member of International Sports and Culture Association (ISCA), and member of European Cycle Logistics Federation (ECLF). Founding member of Network of Social Cooperatives of Central Macedonia. Last activities: Partner in project “ActiveVoice” for building knowledge base for active advocacy for the implementation of the EU Physical Activity guidelines and in project “DopOut: Social network and peer education against doping” under European Programme Erasmus+ Sport Support for Collaborative Partnerships. National Coordinator for European NowWeMOVE campaign for promoting the benefits of being physical active. “Help Refugees Fix their Bicycles and Be Active”, volunteering ongoing project to provide more possibilities for physical activity, commuting, social interaction and skills learning by providing bicycles, cycling and bike-mechanics lessons.
