One highlight was the challenge of turning Public Compliance Company, Inc., a 20th century brick and mortar public equity brokerage with an exclusive reputation, into GrowPublic.com, an interactive, web-based investment experience for today’s 21st century micro-traders. GrowPublic’s mission of facilitating early entry into the public equity markets, with the help of private equity seed capital, effectively limits the risks once shouldered by a single Venture Capital funding source, while maximizing ROI over the long haul. Leveraging social media to promote brands, not shares of stock, leading up to a public launch, along with a measured approach to building anticipation for an offering once shares begin trading is all part of GrowPublic’s secret sauce. Combined efforts helped quadruple GrowPublic.com’s valuation in just its second year.
