GRE HERC Services LLC, a Great River Energy company, operates the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC) located in downtown Minneapolis, on behalf of Hennepin County. We take pride in safely doing the challenging work of recovering energy and materials from solid waste for Hennepin County as they lead toward the vision of a better waste future for our communities and the environment. Great River Energy is a not-for-profit wholesale electric power cooperative serving 27 member-owner distribution cooperatives. Together, our systems provide reliable, cleaner electricity while maintaining affordable rates for 1.7 million people.
