晚同牽 Grey and Pride

Grey and Pride, established in 2014, is the first and only registered charitable organization (#91/18327) in Hong Kong dedicated to serving and supporting the well-being of older (aged 60+) members of the tongzhi (LGBTQ+) community. Objectives # To nurture positive identity formation and build resilience among older tongzhi. # To provide training for service providers, enhancing their understanding of the older tongzhi community and improving the quality of their services. # To advocate for government policies that address the needs of older tongzhi. # To raise public awareness of the challenges and needs of older tongzhi. Activities and Community Services # Grey & Pride Academy – Promoting personal growth, community connections, and social engagement through monthly gatherings featuring legal talks, health education seminars, and social activities. # Counselling – Supporting older tongzhi in developing positive self-identities through hotlines, home visits, and outreach services. # Professional Training – Enhancing service providers’ knowledge and service quality through a “train-the-trainer” program, enabling them to share relevant skills and insights with their peers. # Policy Advocacy – Advising the government on policies related to aging, family, and equal opportunities to ensure they address the needs of older tongzhi. # Public Education – Raising awareness of older tongzhi’s needs through public talks and tongzhi-related events. Membership # Member of Grey and Pride – Tongzhi aged 60 or above. # Friends of Grey and Pride – Tongzhi aged 59 or below. # Grey and Pride Ally – Individuals who support and care for older tongzhi, regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation.
