Griolladh's story begins in June 2020, in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our co-founders Jacob and Jack had been temporarily furloughed, and with no idea as to when normality would resume, they decided to find a temporary project to fill their time.
Within two weeks, they had rented a trailer, created a brand and found a location. They cooked their first sandwich the morning of opening.
On that first weekend, Griolladh had queues which lasted 45 minutes. They thought it would die down, but it didn’t! The buzz was incredible. Jack and Jacob knew then that they had something special and decided to give it their all.
Fast-forward a couple of years, multiple pop-ups, and several sambos later, Griolladh has firmly won the hearts of Dublin food lovers with three city centre locations, and now has its sights set on expanding across the country.
In late 2023, Griolladh opened in Kildare Village, Douglas, and Cork's famous Marina Market.
