Our objective is to *ahem* illustrate the core concepts underlying corporate governance. The field is cloaked in layer after layer of jargon that many find impenetrable - including experienced executives and directors.

Ground-Up Governance was founded by Matt Fullbrook, a corporate governance advisor, researcher, and educator. Matt currently serves as a consultant at Fullbrook Board Effectiveness and as an Executive in Residence at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Previously, he led Rotman’s corporate governance research for 20 years as manager of the Clarkson Centre for Board Effectiveness and the David & Sharon Johnston Centre for Corporate Governance Innovation. He is also the bass player for KC Roberts and the Live Revolution, a nine-piece original funk band. Their seventh studio album, GRIT, was released in June 2022.
