Grounds for Good

Grounds for Good is a London-based social enterprise founded by a team of University College London graduates. Our mission is to encourage a sustainable, environmentally-conscious lifestyle in a world where people, planet and profit are all valued the same. We source landfill-bound coffee grounds from local cafes and re-purpose them to produce all-natural and handmade skin products such as soaps, scrubs and masks. We tackle one of the greatest issues affecting modern life - waste. The UK produces 500,000 tonnes of coffee ground waste a year, of which the vast majority ends up in landfills around the country. Coffee grounds produce methane, a greenhouse gas 21x more dangerous than carbon dioxide to the environment! Did you know that your skin is the largest organ of your body, and has the capacity to absorb 60-80% of what it comes into contact with? Our fortified products are packed with health benefits and antioxidant potential to fight against various skin conditions, while providing intensive moisturisation to combat London's hard water. Our products improve our customer's skin health while decreasing the environmental impact of coffee waste in London. As a social enterprise, we want see a time when coffee waste will no longer harm the environment but rather be re-purposed into a beneficial product to be enjoyed by everyone.
