Groundswell Community Project is a global surf therapy organization harnessing the healing power of the ocean to create transformative spaces for individuals and organizations to reconnect with their bodies, nature, and one another. Rooted in mental health advocacy, social justice, and environmental stewardship, we create inclusive, trauma-informed spaces where individuals can reconnect with themselves, each other, and the sea. Through our local and international programs, we use the transformative power of the ocean to support emotional healing, foster self-expression, and build resilient communities. We envision a world where the ocean’s healing power reaches all—where surf therapy enhances individual wellbeing, strengthens community connection, and ignites collective healing. From the shores of San Diego to coastlines in Scotland, Peru, Baja Mexico, and Costa Rica, our waves of impact are as global as they are personal.
