In partnership with the community, Growing Home advances access in food, housing, parenting education, and lifelong stability to create lasting change for the future. We take a holistic, dual generation approach to fighting poverty, addressing both the immediate and long-term needs of families in our community. Using a collaborative model that engages the community in providing emergency/safety-net services, we also work to understand and address the root causes of social problems such as homelessness, hunger, and the achievement gap of low-income children. Since 1998, when we began offering a community based shelter for families, Growing Home has continued to expand, enhance, and amplify its services to better fulfill our mission to guide children and their families on the path to a brighter future.
