Growth Solutions

Growth Solutions is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rainbow Tree Company, based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Our company started as a direct response to Dutch elm disease in the late 1970s, using the latest scientific research at the time to preserve the boulevards of American elms from the destruction of an invasive pest. Today, our hometown has an impressive number of mature elms with sprawling canopies still protected from this deadly disease due to our commitment to tree health. We are not only arborists – professional tree care workers – but scientists as well. We began exploring how our knowledge of tree science could benefit the trees along utility right-of-ways. In doing so, we reviewed the full gamut of tools available to us. We developed the Growth Solutions Method for the simple purpose of transforming the way trees are managed along Utility right-of-ways. We now have partnerships with utilities across the United States. We take our stewardship of the environment seriously at Rainbow. Protecting and improving the trees in our communities has been our motivation since the first elm tree was saved over 35 years ago. We also understand that protecting trees cannot come at the expense of the rest of the ecosystem.
