GSA Environmental provides specialist knowledge and consultancy in recovering transition metals and catalyst metals from power station ash, oil refinery residues (slurry hydrotreatment and flexicoking). We also undertake process engineering led design assignments from feasibility studies up to and including FEED.
We are an agile company able to work around the globe to provide bespoke packages to our clients. The metals recovery can be based on environmental grounds - some metal salts are toxic; or on economics as the metals themselves are valuable, especially if catalysts have been blended into the upstream processes.
With the focus on 'bottom of the barrel' technology leading to the drive to reduce refinery residue we have developed a good understanding of treatment of the residue, recovery of any remaining hydrocarbons and then recovery of any metals.
