Ghana Society of Biomedical Engineers University of Ghana Local

Ghana Society of Biomedical Engineers, University of Ghana local, herein referred to as ( GSBE-UG ), was inaugurated to represent the interest of all biomedical engineering students in University of Ghana by serving as the direct link to the mother GSBE. GSBE-UG was founded with the following aims and objectives, 1. To be a representative on behalf of University of Ghana Biomedical Engineering students. 2. To involve University of Ghana Biomedical Engineering students in Ghana Society of Biomedical Engineers’ activities. 3. To promote healthy relationship between students, senior members, and professionals in University of Ghana Department of Biomedical Engineering based on mutual respect and trust. 4. To equip members with the necessary skills peculiar to biomedical engineering through its exchange programs with GSBE branches in other tertiary institutions, and BMEN students globally. 5. To seek internship slots for members in biomedical engineering firms and institutions through help from the GHANA SOCIETY OF BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERS (GSBE). 6. Organize field trips, symposia and forums, to broaden membership's scope of knowledge and encourage them to appreciate the diversity of BMEN. 7. To form a formidable GSBE-UG Alumni front by bringing together all alumni of University of Ghana Department of Biomedical Engineering to aid in changing the status quo of UG BMEN and BMEN as a profession in Ghana.
