A GSI é líder mundial na produção de silos de armazenagem, secadores e transportadores de grãos, equipamentos para confinamento de aves, suínos e pecuária leiteira. Atuando em mais de 70 países, com mais de 4.000 colaboradores, o Grupo GSI possui unidades nos EUA, Canadá, Malásia, Itália, Alemanha, Dinamarca, China e Brasil. São 22 fábricas e quatro centros de distribuição espalhados pelos cinco continentes. Na América do Sul, suas unidades fabris estão localizadas em Marau e Passo Fundo, no Rio Grande do Sul. A unidade de Marau merece destaque por ser a maior fábrica de equipamentos para a produção de aves e suínos da América Latina e por possuir uma equipe especializada em atender e entender as necessidades do produtor brasileiro.
