Guacimo Lodge

Guácimo Ecolodge is a boutique riverside property opened in 2018 and composed of six bungalows, a yoga deck and outdoor pool, a restaurant area and staff accommodation facilities. Entirely built with recycled wood, it is part of a 50 hectare primary lowland tropical and secondary forest. Guacimo runs 100% on solar power and is only accessible by water. The lodge is targeted to adventure travellers and nature lovers. Its location close to Indio Maiz Biosphere reserve - the second largest and best protected forest reserve in Nicaragua – provides an excellent platform to access its very diverse wildlife as well as the nearby communities. Guacimo Ecolodge is involved in forest preservation and biodiversity research initiatives and this is expected to intensify in the coming years. We are passionate about ecotourism, offering sustainable accommodation and sustainable activities that have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
