Гаранционният фонд (ГФ), създаден през 1997 г., е организация със значима роля за защита интересите на гражданите, осигуряване на социална справедливост и за поддържане на стабилността и общественото доверие в застрахователния сектор. Пълноправен член е в COB - Council of Bureaux.
Чрез управляваните от ГФ фондове се гарантира правото на обезщетение на невиновно пострадалите при пътни инциденти с незастраховани МПС и се обезпечават гарантираните вземания на застрахованите лица в случай на несъстоятелност на застраховател. Като високотехнологична организация ГФ способства за пълноценното информационно обезпечаване на гражданите, застрахователния сектор и различни институции.
В сътрудничество с ключови заинтересовани страни Гаранционният фонд активно допринася за подобряването на пътната безопасност и за поддържане на висок обхват на застраховката "Гражданска отговорност" на автомобилистите, осигурявайки спокойствие и сигурност за участниците в движението и цялото общество.

The funds managed by the Guarantee Fund guarantee the right to compensation of those innocently injured in road accidents involving uninsured vehicles and secure the guaranteed claims of insured persons in the event of the insolvency of an insurer. As a high-tech organisation, the Guarantee Fund facilitates the full information provision to citizens, the insurance sector and various institutions.
In cooperation with key stakeholders, the Guarantee Fund actively contributes to improving road safety and to maintaining a high coverage of motorists' liability insurance, ensuring peace of mind and security for road users and society as a whole.
