Glasgow University Civil Engineers is a new society founded by current Civil Engineering students and staff at the University of Glasgow, in celebration of the bi century of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
It is a society for anyone who has undertaken a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Glasgow or has a genuine interest in it. Whether you are a student, Alumni or Staff - we want everyone involved in this group.
Our purpose is as follows;
A. To connect current University of Glasgow Civil Engineering students between year groups through various social and academic activities.
B. To collaborate with Industry in order to enhance the experience of University Civil engineering students through:
1. Site/office visits
2. Multiple guest lectures and project involvement
3. Networking social events with Industry contacts and professional institutions such as ICE
C. To promote Civil Engineering as a choice of career through outreach STEM activities.
